Shower Doors generally fall into 3 categories:

Framed shower doors are the most common and can be found in the majority of homes. There is typically a mitered frame around the door while utilizing a perimeter frame around other glass panels in the enclosure. The glass is generally 3/16 of an inch in thickness.

Semi-Frameless doors have become very popular lately as they offer the look of a European style door at a fraction of the cost. Typically, these systems utilize a frameless door panel anchored with patch hinges with a perimeter frame for all other panels to provide the peace of mind of a more “water tight” enclosure. 1/4″ clear glass or 3/16″ patterned glass is fabricated for these door systems. The H-Series Frameless Swing Door is our most popular semi-frameless enclosure offering the contemporary European style at its best!

Frameless doors, also referred to as “heavy plate” or “Euro-Doors”, provide the utmost in aesthetics and are the most appealing. As the name implies, there is no frame associated with this type of enclosure. Hinges, clamps and glass mounted pull handles are incorporated with either 3/8″ or 1/2″ thick glass.
